Very interesting… Thanks for sharing it

Jim

Thanks Philip. Glad you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for video 2 which will tie in the next level of thinking, beliefs we have, along with our thoughts about the capabilities of the organization.

I strongly believe that change is overdue, that it has long been waiting.

Jim

Hi Robert. I’ve seen much written and said about change in management, and the failure of Lean to take hold. Oftentimes the line between behaviors, beliefs and identities gets blurred in these discussions. I’m hoping to not only distinguish between what is really happening to stop change at the point where it is hindered, but also to pave a path for making it easier to happen. Stay tuned for the next video, yeah?

The video sound wasn’t working when I attempted to play this.

Jim

Hi Susan – thank you for the notice. We went back and checked everything out. It should be working for you now.

We have a long way to go. I work in healthcare and it seems to be kept working by the people that make $16-$20 an hour.

Jim

Thanks for the addition Tony. The goal is to build processes that anyone can do well, rather than relying on hero behavior (i.e. fire-fighting) to make our systems work. The easier we architect the flow of perfunctory things to be, the more room we make for the really important stuff that healthcare professionals provide, which is their specialized expertise.
